What to Know When Renting a Car
At Triangle Rent A Car, there are a few things that first time car renters should know. First of all, you have to be at least 21 to rent a car. If you're 21-24, there's a $15 surcharge per day, and you also must have full personal liability and collision coverage that transfers to the rented vehicle. Customers may use their personal coverage, have collision coverage added to their personal policy, use the collision coverage offered on their credit card or opt to purchase our collision damage waiver. Additionally, to reserve a rental car in the first place, you must have a credit card or debit card in your (and not your spouse's) name. Our daily charges are on a 24 hour clock, meaning that if you pick up the car at 9:00 in the morning one day and return it at 9:00 the next morning, this is a one day rental. However, renters are given a 59-minute grace period in which to return the vehicle. After this time frame, an hourly charge will go into effect. Triangle Rent A Car offers unlimited mileage with our vehicles, as long as you stay east of the Mississippi River. And you don't have to fill up the gas tank when you return the car. All our vehicles are rented with a minimum of 1/4 tank of fuel, and customers must return the vehicle with this same minimum amount or risk incurring a refueling premium.
