About Discovery Place
Discovery Place is a not-for-profit organization to inspire young and old in the natural and social world. It is one of the leading science centers in the country for visitors to get a good understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and interactive way. Nature at its finest

The museum starts in the Great Hall with the Beginnings exhibit. Here, you will learn about the life cycle of young animals. Chicks, tadpoles, and mice are all part of the exhibit here. In the butterfly pavilion, you can walk among free-flying butterflies and watch them grow in the chrysalis’ house. Paw Paw Nature Trail is a 100-year old forest that you can walk through while you visit with your cheap car rental Charlotte. If you look up and down, you might be able to see some woodland creatures.

Insect Alley is where you can learn about insects. In creature Cavern, you can learn about some of the bigger animals that are native to the Carolinas, such as opossums, owls, snakes, skunks, and others. Catch a show

The Nature Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. They are closed on Mondays. Admission is $6 per person. You can buy your tickets online on the museum website, by phone, or in person at the admissions desk.
